The Press Release of “The Army Command Headquarters Conducting the Epidemic Prevention Disinfection Workshop for the “African Swine Fever””.

To prevent and adapt to the possible epidemic of “African Swine Fever”, the Army Command Headquarters conducted “Epidemic Prevention Disinfection Workshop for the “African Swine Fever””at the 33rd Chemical Battalion yesterday (4th); it was hosted by major general Yang, the director of the chemical division of the command headquarters, and participated by major general Pang, the commander of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Training Center, and various important chemical troops leaders from each combat zone. The workshop hopes to perfect the correct epidemic prevention concept for troops of each level and complete the support energy of epidemic prevention in order to concretely display the spirit of the armed forces fulfilling the epidemic prevention of “African Swine Fever”.

The Army Command Headquarters pointed out that during this workshop director Yang first prompted the Ministry of National Defense with the instructions on epidemic prevention for the “African Swine Fever”, and asked each troop to rapidly complete the equipment and apparatus preparedness of the chemical troops as well as implement personal protection of officers and soldiers by upholding the spirit of “epidemic prevention is a form of combat”, while also maintain close coordination and contact with local governments to complete the division of coordination for the epidemic prevention and crack down the “African Swine Fever” together. Furthermore, director Yang also conveyed the request of general Wang on reminding each combat zone to follow the political guidance of the Ministry of National Defense, complete the preparedness of each epidemic prevention firmly, actively grasp the quantity and location of pig farms within the responsible area, strengthen patrolling on empty camp (village) sites, and continue the epidemic prevention propaganda and education training of personnel for precaution.

The Army Command Headquarters emphasized that epidemic prevention disinfection is the occupation and profession of chemical soldiers; to adapt to the epidemic prevention of the “African Swine Fever”, the chemical soldiers will be fully prepared and continue to strengthen and reserve relevant epidemic prevention energy, and shoulder the responsibility of guarding the national environmental safety and the health of the citizens when the country is in need. The command headquarters also asks that each affiliated unit to rapidly complete the cultivation of faculty, group together the operation and management of military doctors of each unit, and complete the epidemic prevention and expanded training on personal protection for each combat zone. All preparedness has been ready to respond to the actual requirements in the future.
